Bulle/Bubble
Bulle/Bubble is an ongoing project that asks what an artistic space created for Autistic people would look like.
The work focuses on sensory experiences that simulate the act of stimming – repetitive movements used by autistic people to prevent sensory overload, with a collaborative partner adding poetry relating to their Autistic experiences.
The project was inspired by my experiences studying at university: though largely a positive experience, there have been moments in which autism has been a barrier. Autistic individuals have the right to exist in any space that neurotypical people exist within, and therefore this project should also work in any such environment.
